Global Scale

Preview (Project of Risk Evaluation, Vulnerability, Information & Early Warning)
PREVIEW includes a collection of datasets for several hazards (drought, earthquakes, fires, floods, landslides, tropical cyclones, tsunami and volcanoes). Some of these hazards were further modeled using Geographical Information Systems (GIS). The modeled hazards include Tropical Cyclones, which were modeled to produce the asymmetric windspeed profiles, earthquakes, droughts and floods.
Global Assessment Report on disaster risk reduction (2009)

DRI (Disaster Risk Index)
The Disaster Risk Index (DRI) Analysis Tool measures the relative vulnerability of countries to three key natural hazards - earthquake, tropical cyclone and flood - and identifies development factors that contribute to risk. The report shows, in quantitative terms, how the effects of disasters can be either reduced or exacerbated by policy choices.

Natural disaster hotspots: a global risk analysis

In this project we have assessed the global risks of two disaster-related outcomes: mortality and economic losses. We have estimated risk levels by combining hazard exposure with historical vulnerability for two indicators of elements at risk—gridded population and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per unit area—for six major natural hazards: earthquakes, volcanoes, landslides, floods, drought, and cyclones.
