The Disaster Incidence Database (DIDB) was developed by the Disaster Management Information Center (DMIC).
The objective of DIDB is to track disaster event and store relevant information on disasters in Bangladesh.
The GIS-based open source database provides information at national level covering the period between 1970 and 2009. The disaster related information provided includes all hazard types (as well technological disasters and complex emergencies) and both human and economic losses. The information is provided through an interactive web‐based system interface that provides tables and maps.
Sources include Governmental sources, NGO’s, and the press, the priority is given to Governmental sources.
