The GRIP's Monthly Highlights for November 2011 provide an overview of several initiatives, including:

• The State Government of Baja California, Mexico, started discussing the establishment of a GRIP-CERAM in Baja California;
• As an effort of promoting South-South Cooperation (SSC) with GRIP’s support, Armenia will assist Macedonia to establish a National Disaster Observatory (NDO);
• A new Community of Practice for facilitating the work of GRIP-backed Centers of Excellence for Risk Assessment and Management (CERAM) was launched at unteamworks.org;
• A new GRIP’s  training module “National Flood Risk  Assessment” was developed in collaboration with Swiss Hepia/PMSA through a public-private partnership;
• Global Risk Forum (GRF) - Davos and GRIP are exploring possible collaboration between the two platforms;
• GRIP supported OECD’s Global Science Forum to design its new international initiative on risk modeling;
• GFDRR and GRIP met in Washington. D.C. to explore the possible collaboration in risk assessment at national level;
• GRIP provided technical support and guidance to 8 countries this month.
