Objective

The main objective of the toolkit is to provide users in USA with online data and tools which can be used to assess multi-hazard risk assessment.

Adaptability

The tools are designed to be used in USA and are not adaptable to other countries.

Summary

The Coastal Risk Atlas (CRA) vulnerability assessment process can be broken down into three key elements: hazard identification and analysis, demographic identification and anlysis, and local infrastructure identification and analysis. The toolkit contains applications related to the three elements. The VAT is comprised of three separate tools which are designed to help with processing certain types of data within the ESRI ArcGIS 8.x environment. Each of the tools has been developed to be flexible enough to work not only with the data we are using for the Coastal Risk Atlas (CRA), but also with data that other users may have.
