SEE RDRMP

Welcome to the Disaster Risk Information e-Library of SEE RDRMP, the one-stop shop to the most comprehensive suite of risk data, information, and knowledge on SEE RDRMP

The South Eastern Europe Regional Disaster Risk Management Programme (SEE RDRMP), funded by the EU’s Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPA),  is implemented by UNDP Europe & CIS,  in partnership with the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the 8 IPA beneficiary countries (i.e. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Albania, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, and Turkey). The main objective of the programme is to assess the current capacities for DRM in the region, identify the main needs, and propose regional initiatives to address those needs, aiming at reducing the risks and disasters associated with common natural hazards (such as floods, droughts, forest fires and earthquakes) in the IPA beneficiary countries  by providing technical support to address national priorities on disaster risk reduction, and to mainstream disaster risk reduction into national development plans and programs, both creating synergies between technical and political counterparts in the field of disaster risk reduction and dealing with cross-border hazards in order to reduce their impact on people.
