The National Weather Service raided since 1998 in the detection and monitoring of forest fires in Mexico through images of GOES-12 satellite. This section contains animations of GOES-12 images visible and infrared current topical information and fires detected during the course of the day.
Starting on May 26 suspended the analysis to detect heat sources. Those who are in the chalk, are for automatic detection using the algorithms developed by the University of Wisconsin (FIMMA), NASA (for data MODIS) and NOAA (ABBA). We recommend using this information under the relevant considerations because some sources of heat are problems with noise from the satellites.
