The World's Urban Extent Distribution Dataset (GRUMP Version 1)

The data is the alpha release of version 1 of the GRUMP product. The data are stored in geographic coordinates of decimal degrees based on the World Geodetic System spheroid of 1984 (WGS84), 30 arc-second (1-km) resolution. The cell value is integer, where 1 = rural and 2 = urban. Large water bodies have been masked and thus appear as "no data".
