This project report seeks to analyze the impact of natural extreme events on social indicators at the municipal level in Mexico. it is focused on the impact of such events on the human development index and different poverty levels.  Based on comprehesively characterizin hazard-prone areas in terms of their geophysical setting and socio-economic conditions, this report examines the pattern, causes, and trends of the impacts of disasters over the past decade. The analysis shows the decrease in the impacts od disasters caused by floods and droughts.
