The workshop was jointly organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia, UNDP country office in Armenia and GRIP. The overall objective of the workshop was to initiate a national coordination mechanism to implement National Risk Assessment in Armenia. The workshop worked on mapping the current disaster risk assessment (DRA) situation in the country and introduced GRIP's country support package for DRA.
The workshop had altogether 61 participants and it was implemented over a period of 3 days. The workshop was divided into 2 parts. The first 2 days were addressing the issue of disaster risk assessment from an overall perspective with the group of participants consisting of government officials, disaster risk management practitioners and other stakeholders. The second part of the workshop was aimed at the technical proffessionals implementing disaster risk assessment.
