May 18, CERAM-Shanghai went to Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau to report their work on The Emergency Plan for the Relief of Natural Disasters.

The project of revising The Emergency Plan for the Relief of Natural Disasters is assigned by Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau to CERAM-Shanghai, under the order of National Disaster Mitigation Committee to build a more improved emergency plan for local governments when implementing disaster prevention and relief.

CERAM-Shanghai was assigned to undertake this project in the December of 2011, and through 6 months’ exploring and research as well as numerous discussions within the work group, plus two visits to Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, the Revision finally came to its first draft.

After CERAM-Shanghai reporting the first draft of the Revision, the Relief Section Chief of Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, Mr. Chao Lin, approved of CERAM-Shanghai’s performance in the revision project and put forward advices on further amendment of the first draft.

CERAM-Shanghai will report to Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau again in two weeks on the Revision and their latest working progress on Shanghai’s Implementing Regulations on Natural Disaster Relief Bill.
